Enugu State League: Golden Utd. Trash Stallions FC 1-0

Golden United FC of Abakpa yesterday defeated Stallions FC of Nsukka 1-0 at the ongoing Enugu State Football League.
Joshua Okechukwu, scored the lone goal at the 76th minute.
The match was played at the Rangers International training pitch, Liberty Estate, Enugu.
Golden United Coach, Favour Aneke, said in a post-match interview that the win was a step forward.
Aneke, however, admitted that his players would need to work harder in their next match.
“I think it is a step forward but we are not yet sure of the next round because we are five in our group.
“To be on the safe side, we need to win three matches from the group and I think that nine points can do the magic.
“We are supposed to go home, work on the lapses and get ready for our next match.
“It is a big one and that will determine our fate in the group.
“Not converting chances is a very big issue because we wasted up to five well-created chances.
“It will be an omen if I do not do something about it,” he said.
Aneke also said that clubs in the league had young players compared to the previous leagues.
He expressed the confidence that the league would improve as it progressed.
