The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo Council yesterday felicitated its Secretary, Mr Osaigbovo Iguobaro on his appointment as the Chief Press Secretary to the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II.
The chapel in a statement signed by the chairman, Mrs Nefishetu Yakub, lauded the Royal father for “finding one of our own worthy of the appointment”.
According to her, Iguobaro has worked hard to reach this point, and the chapel is pleased that he is being recognised for his accomplishment spanning over two decades in journalism.
“Your appointment is well deserved; and I am confident that you will successfully make a good spokesman.
“The Chapel looks forward to working with you in your role of interfacing with journalists and positively projecting the activities of the palace,” Yakubu said.
The Benin Traditional Council through its Secretary, Mr Frank Irabor, announced Iguobaro’s appointment via a statement made available to newsmen in Benin.
