Anambra FA Cup: Peace FC, Nnewi Utd Set For Final Clash

Peace FC of Awka and Nnewi United FC yesterday won their semi matches in the ongoing Anambra FA/NEROS Pharmaceutical Cup to set the stage for the class

Peace FC defeated defending champions, Aspire FC of Adazi Ani   League by 4-3 on penalty.

The match which was decided at NEROS Football Stadium, Nanka ended in a barren draw in regulation time.

Obi Moneke, Chairman of Peace FC described the victory and qualification as a “pleasant development”.

Moneke said every match played in the competition so far was difficult as their opponents gave good accounts of themselves.

He said his team now had eyes set on the ultimate trophy, noting that it would intensify preparations for the final game.

The competition which featured 16 teams would end on June 11 at NEROS stadium, Nanka.
